Day 1: Arrival in Surabaya – The Journey to Bromo (L/-)

Your East Java tour begins with a warm welcome from our local guide at Surabaya Airport or your city hotel. We immediately depart for the Bromo region, winding through local villages and rising into the cooler highlands. Along the way, we provide a stop for a traditional Javanese lunch. Upon arrival, you will check into your accommodation at Lereng Bromo, where you can relax and prepare for the early morning mountain air.

Day 2: Bromo Sunrise & The Sea of Sand – Tumpak Sewu (B/L/-)

We start before dawn, at approximately 4:00 AM, boarding a 4x4 Jeep to reach the Penanjakan viewpoint. Here, you will watch the sun rise over the iconic Bromo, Batok, and Semeru volcanoes. Afterward, we drive across the "Sea of Sand" and hike to the very rim of the Bromo crater to hear the roar of the earth. After returning to the hotel for breakfast, we continue our drive toward the lush landscapes of the Lumajang Regency.

Day 3: Exploring Tumpak Sewu’s Hidden Canyon – Kalibaru (B/L/-)

After breakfast, we head to the magnificent Tumpak Sewu Waterfall. We descend into the canyon on a guided trek, exploring the riverbed and standing at the base of the massive curtain of water. It is a sensory experience of mist and thunder. Following the hike, we enjoy lunch at a local spot before driving through coffee and cocoa plantations toward the peaceful village of Kalibaru.

Day 4: Into the Wild – Sukamade Turtle Conservation (B/L/D)

Today, the adventure turns toward the coast as we head into Meru Betiri National Park. We switch to a rugged 4x4 Jeep to navigate the jungle tracks and river crossings leading to Sukamade. This remote outpost is a vital sanctuary for sea turtles. After a simple dinner, we join park rangers for a silent night trek to the beach to witness giant sea turtles emerging from the waves to lay their eggs, a truly humbling natural spectacle.

Day 5: Releasing Hatchlings – Banyuwangi (B/L/-)

Wake up to the sounds of the rainforest. This morning, you have the opportunity to participate in a conservation highlight: releasing tiny turtle hatchlings back into the Indian Ocean. After breakfast, we take the Jeep back out of the national park, stopping for photos of the rugged coastline, and drive toward the port town of Banyuwangi to prepare for our final trek.

Day 6: Ijen Crater Trek – Crossing to Bali (B/L/-)

Our final day begins with an early drive to the Paltuding base camp. From here, we hike approximately 2.5 hours through the forest to reach the rim of the Ijen Crater. You will be rewarded with a view of the vast, steaming turquoise lake and the brave sulfur miners at work. After descending, we return to the hotel to freshen up and check out. We then escort you to Ketapang Harbor for the ferry crossing to Gilimanuk, Bali, where your journey continues.
